Is this beginner friendly?
Most definitely! If you can sew straight lines, you can create this!!! It’s a bunch of straight lines! (And if you can’t, get yourself a sewing guard to help you create straight lines). You can easily create a couple in 30 mins!
How to do I use this pattern?
Select the bandana size that you need, cut your fabric and scrunchie piece (don’t forget your elastic!) and read the step by step instructions and or follow my Youtube tutorial!
How much elastic do I need to create a Scrunchie Bandana?
The amount of elastic needed varies – it depends on the bandana size! All elastic measurements are included in this pattern in the instructions section!
What kind of elastic do I need to create this bandanas?
I use two different elastics for my Scrunchie Bandanas! I use this one for bandanas size XS-Medium and for my L and XL bandanas, I use this one. You can use one size elastic for all your Scrunchie Bandanas but I noticed that the wider elastic work better for the larger bandanas – it allows a tighter snug.
What kind of fabric should I use to make a Scrunchie Bandana?
You can use just about any kind of fabric! I recommend 100% cotton because it’s better for our planet, Earth but youuuu can make a bandana using almost any kind of fabric. I have even used OUTDOOR fabric – you know the kind that is on patio chairs! They made super STURDY bandanas but it does cost more per yard!
What kind of sewing machine do you use?
I use a Singer heavy duty sewing machine! It is the best one ever! I have been through 4 sewing machines in 6 months until I found this one! It can handle all my sewing needles from creating Scrunchie Bandanas to mending my little people’s clothes!

These bandanas have been called ‘gamechangers’ by my customers because they are one of a kind and unlike the traditional bandanas that are sold in other pet shops. They were the best selling bandana in my handmade shop and you will make a killing on them if you advertise and market correctly! You got this. It’s totally up to you, babe! I was selling mine for about $20 and $25 for customized (adding their name or another message with vinyl) ones! You can easily charge $15 or more for each one – if you are using exclusive fabrics, you can sell it for more! I know that if people love you, your quality and your brand, they will gladly pay whatever price you set. Don’t price them too low though because it does take time to make them and your time is valuable af. Time is money.
