It’s okay to not be okay…

It’s okay to not be okay…

It’s okay to feel how you feel. If it hurt you, it hurt you. If it made you mad, sad, anxious, nervous, annoyed, scared or whatever it is – that’s okay. It’s okay not to feel okay and happy all the time. You are allowed to feel all of these emotions – even the sad/mad ones. You are supposed to -that’s why we have them – they are meant to be felt but not held on to and dwelled in forever. It’s totally okay to feel the emotions that you feel necessary – it bothered you and it was unexpected and probably something that you didn’t even need or want at the time and that made you feel some type of way. That’s okay. You are allowed to express your feelings.

Don’t let anyone tell you how to feel or that you are doing too much ‘because it’s not that serious.’ But it is. To You. You matter and you are allowed to feel however you want – but just don’t dwell in them for too long. Feel them, acknowledge and let them go. Holding onto to some feelings for too long will suck you into a negative thought spiral and have you thinking all kinds of crazy and irrational stuff that isn’t happening or won’t even happen.

You are enough. You got this. I’m so proud of you. Keep going.
